The date and location of this photo is not known but the driver
looks as if he is George Lanchester, the owner of the car.
These two photos were taken on the London to Brighton run, probably in 1951, but on a traditionally wet day.
Archie Smith is seated behind the driver, George Upton, who had formerly worked on the production line of the Lanchester Motor Company.
These photos were taken on the 1952 run. On this occasion Archie is seated behind George Upton on the near side with George Lanchester driving.
