When Archie was a child, the family had a pet black labrador called "Bob" and a black cat called "Wobbo". When he was older, he had pets of his own.

		Peter Peter was a smooth haired fox terrier and the first of two that Archie had as a pet. [More]

		Nappy Nappy was the short name for Napoleon who, in this instance, was a wire haired fox terrier. [More]

		Shadow Shadow was a German Shepherd. He was a rather highly strung animal and had a nervous disposition. He developed a habit of running away into the adjacent woodland if he became distressed. He was never properly trained which did not help his cause. [More]

		Peter This was the second smooth haired fox terrier called Peter that Archie owned. His kennel names was Sammy Sunshine. He generally just followed anyone in the family around the house and garden. Like other small terriers, he could be snappy and each of the children was bitten, sometimes through their own fault. [More]

		Paula Paula was a tortoiseshell cat and was purchased together with a ginger tom called Peter. The two were originally called Peter and Paul but Paul had to be renamed after his true gender was discovered. The cats were probably bought principally as pets for Archie's children. [More]
