Holiday in Wales in 2005

This short holiday in September had a duel purpose. Firstly to visit our niece Caroline Bell in Cardiff then to go on to the newly opened National Botanic Garden of Wales near Carmarthen. Malcolm and Brenda arrived at the Holiday Inn hotel by Coryton Roundabout where the M4 crosses the A470 at Tonwynlais. Although the hotel was in a busy location, it turned out to be very quiet inside.

Having set themelves up in the hotel, Malcolm and Brenda went to Caroline's house to meet her together with her husband Matthew and daughter Molly. They took a wooden jigsaw as apresent for Molly which turned out to be her favourite occupation. During the visit, Molly had completed then dismantled the puzzle a number of time including doing it face down.

The next day, Malcolm and Brenda went on the the
National Botanic Garden of Wales for a good long visit. It was very well laid out with good wide access on firm level paths. They left in time to drive home again that evening.
