Paths around the cottage
A path needed to be constructed around the cottage for clean and easy access. The ideal surface to Malcolm would have been either patterned brickwork or natural stone paving slabs. However, time and cost precluded these and all the work was done in concrete. Friends came to stay for a weekend and helped do the bulk of the work. The wives were put in charge of the concrete mixer whilst the men barrowed and laid the concrete.
