Seat 1000

Registration number KPO 525 P

Brenda bought this car from next door neighbour Will Snelgrove who dealt in foreign cars and car parts. It was in good condition and had low mileage.
It was a surprisingly nippy car and Malcolm had it up into the 90's and accelerating one day but lost his nerve thinking about the light front end.

Brenda loaned the car to her uncle Norman when he was visiting from America. He was over 70 years of age at the time and could not get insurance cover.
He seemd to cope with the small car well considering he was used to driving large cars on wide roads. However, his wife Molly was very unimpressed with the size of it.

Brenda's brother Mike also borrowed the car and took it to France to collect his daughter Joanne from university. Mike was 6'6" tall and Joanne was also over 6'
so it is hard to imagine how they both squeezed into the car, let alone with all that luggage, but they managed.
