Lillian Mary Parsons was born in Liverpool on 10 February 1896, being the first child of Daniel and Elizabeth Parsons. She was
baptised at the Oratory of St.Philip Neri on 16 February. Her name was incorrectly written as Lilian in the register. When the census was taken in 1901 she was five years old and her name was entered incorrectly again. At that time the family were living at 4 Oxford Street where her father had a dental practice. She and her siblings were well brought up and the household employed a nurse to look after them. By about 1915, the family had moved to 35 Catharine Street, that address being the same shown in the 1911 census.

The 1921 census shows Lillian still at home in Catharine Street and employed as a Clerk by Cotton Brokers W H Cooke and Sons in the Liverpool Cotton Exchange.

On 15 September 1924, Lillian married Neville Isaac Brockbank at the Oratory of St.Philip Neri in Catharine Street. He was a 25 year old accountant from Liverpool. There are some good photographs of the couple and the wedding group.

Lillian and Neville had five children, two of whom did not survive. Marie Auriol was born in 1927 but died in 1929. Neville Ronald was born in 1928 and died the same year. Aileen M was born in 1929, Rodney Joseph in 1931 and Kevin A born in 1936. By the time Kevin was born, the family were living in the Crosby area.

Lillian was living at 8 Saxon Road in Great Crosby, Lancs in 1952 when her mother wrote her will leaving her crockery and glass.

Lillian and Neville were still living at 8 Saxon Road when she passed away on 26 October 1962 aged 66 leaving her husband a widower. She was buried at Ford cemetery on 31 October. A memorial card recorded the event.
