Ancestors Profile Index for HUMBLE

Mark Humble was born in 1857 at Sutton at Hone in Kent. The census of
1861 shows him living in Homefield House on Farningham Road in Sutton at Hone with his parents, brother Hoah and sister Mary. When the census was taken ten years later, only he and his parents were living there. He was employed as a Farm Labourer.

Mark can not be found in the 1881 census. Sometime in the ensuing ten years he married Elizabeth of Farningham. Their daughter Elizabeth M was born around 1890 in Farningham. The census of 1891 shows the family living at 4 Glenthorne Road in Walthamstow in Essex and visitor Ada L Clarke staying with them. Mark was now a Steam Engine Driver.

By 1901 they had moved to 9 King's Quay in Harwich where they had boarder Patrick Duff living with them.

It would appear that his wife Elizabeth passed away before 1911 as the census of that year shows Mark as a widower and one of three boarders at Thomas Gainhorn's house at 10 Smithfield Road in Madeley, Shropshire. Mark himself passed away in Madeley in 1920.
