Photos Story

This was Malcolm's father's car which he did allow Malcolm to borrow on special occasions. The first time Malcolm drove the car it was to demonstrate to his father that he was capable of handling it. They were travelling at s fair speed along a straight road when they were confronted by a very large puddle right across the road. Malcolm instinctively slammed the brakes on and the car came to a standstill. What had been an emergency measure by Malcolm was described by his father as a good bit of progressive braking which was a rather generous reading of the situation.

Malcolm used the car to take his fiancée to a nightclub in London on another occasions. He clipped another vehicle and put a small crease over a rear wheel arch but his father was not concerned. On another trip to London, Malcolm was taking a work colleague and his wife to the company annual dinner dance in Kensington. Right at the beginning of the journey, someone pulled out right in front of Malcolm and he uttered a profanity which killed the conversation in the car and silence remained for the entire journey. The fact that he also nipped round the wromg side of a 'Keep Left@ bollard into a side road to avoid traffic did not enhance the situation.
