This was a moss green car that belonged to Malcolm's mother and she had inherited it from
her father after his death in 1955. Malcolm learned to drive it some years before he was of the legal age. As can be seen, the family house was set in woodland and accessed from a gravel track, so there was no problem with breaking the law. Malcolm, his brother and sister drove around there unsupervised and learned to handle the car with confidence. |
