This family holiday was spent in a cottage in Whitford on the outskirts of Axminster in Devon. The name of the cottage was Parkland Cottage

The weather was not outstanding but the family still managed to spend time on the coast, visiting Branscombe and Landrum Bay. They also took a walk through the meadows to look and the railway line that runs between Salisbury and Exeter and also see where the former branch line to Lyme Regis ran.
