The Right of Access

There was a covenant placed on the cottage that a right of access be maintained between the road at the front of the cottage and the field behind. The access would only be required if the regular access point to the field was closed off. The field belonged to the church school and, when the school closed, the field was designated as a play area. However, it was sold off and bungalows built at which time the access through the cottage garden became redundant.
