James looking through the window in front of the rack of home-made wines.
The curtains got stained with wine when the cork blew out of a bottle. Toddler James was passing
at the time and was startled so much he was reluctant to go near there again for some time.

The fireplace. The copper hood was to encourage smoke to go up the chimney.

Door through to the dining room. There are some lovely angles to the walls here.

Door to the kitchen which was made as a stable door.The settee was reupholstered by Malcolm's mother
The painting by the door was brought back from honeymoon in Paris by Malcolm and Brenda.
The curtain could be pulled across the staircase to keep the warmth downstairs.
