James Marcus Archbald Smith was born in Poole Hospital on 14 January 1975. He enjoyed two and a half years having all the attention before his brother, William Edward Folker Smith, was born on 6 July 1977. When James was asked what name his brother should have, he said "Teddy" and that was accepted to call him Edward.
