This was a good and reliable service but due to the heavy traffic in London, the evening retun coach usually ran late. In theory, Malcolm did not leave work in time to catch the 17:06 from Latymer Court but he booked his ticket for that and invariably managed to make it. During the period that Malcolm made this journey, the coaches were replaced with longer vehicles.
