Removal of the staircase.

Temporary support

The sidewalls had provided support to the staircase so a temporary prop was put in position.

There were not only cobwebs under the staircase, but mice as well.
They had taken refuge in what was left and when it was finally knocked out,
there was a 'bomb burst' of mice making a run for it.
