Agnes Annie Smith was born on 5 August 1903 at High Street, Eynsford in Kent. She was the only child of Sydney and Sophia Smith.
In 1911 the family were living in Station Road in Eynsford, then, in 1913, they emigrated to Melbourne Australia. According to the electoral registers, between 1917 and 1924 Agnes was living in Lorne, Corangamite in Victoria and was a hospital sister.
On 19 April 1924 Agnes married Eric Norman Williamson, an Australian born bread carter, and they lived at 30 Wellington Road, Box Hill in the Flinders district of Melbourne, Victoria. Their first child, Evelyn Nancy, was born there in the same year. Daughter Kathleen was born in 1926, Joan in 1929, Betty in 1932 and Gwenda in 1938.
By 1943 the family had moved to 504 Elgar Road, Box Hill, Deakin in Melbourne and were still there in 1954. The electoral register for 1963 shows Agnes and Eric at 494 Elgar Road. The 1967 electoral register shows them at 688 Whitehorse Road, Surrey Hills in Deakin then the following year at 122 Dorking Road, Box Hill, Deakin. The 1972 register gives the house number as 127 in Dorking Road.
Agnes passed away in Box Hill, Melbourne on 12 November 1986 and was buried at Templestowe Cemetery and Memorial Gardens, Templestowe, Banyule City, Victoria. Her husband Eric survived until 1994.
