Elizabeth Rimmer was
born on 27 April 1870, being the second child of Charles and Alice Rimmer of Eugene Lane, Lydiate. Eugene Lane is a transcription error for Eager Lane.

The following year the family were shown in the 1871 census as living in Hall Lane which connects to Eager Lane. Both the 1881 and 1891 census forms show the family living in Eager Lane, Lydiate. The 1891 census shows Elizabeth's name as Lizzie.

Elizabeth married Daniel Walter Parsons at Our Lady's in Lydiate on 19 June 1895. Elizabeth's previous addres was given as Smithy Brow Farm, Lydiate but the couple went to live at 1 Worcester Avenue, Club Moor East in Liverpool which is where their first two children were born, Lillian Mary in 1896 and Daniel Blundell in 1897.

By 1899, the family were living at 4 Oxford Street in Liverpool, and which is where Daniel also held his dental surgery. The remainder of the children were born here and are listed in the 1901 and 1911 census returns. Young Henry sadly died of a fever in 1911 after falling into a pond at Lydiate, probably when the family were visiting his mothers relatives. The 1901 census records Frederick and John P Lock as being resident but it is not known who they are.

In 1915 the family, and dental surgery, moved to 35 Catharine Street in Liverpool where the children enjoyed a spacious house.

After her husband died in 1948, Elizabeth went to live with her daughter Connie at 16 Beresford Avenue in Bebbington on the Wirral. Her eyesight began to deteriorate as a result of cataracts, but she had these removed in about 1950. Very soon afterwards she and Connieflew to Canada to see her sons Billm and Walter who had emigrated there. She was 80 years old then and the flight took 14 hours. The airline only accepted her as a passenger if she was accompanied by a nurse which, as it happened, was Connie's profession. Elizabeth was wearing a black patch over one eye at this time.

Elizabeth passed away on 26 November 1852 and was interred at Ford Cemetery where her husband had been buried four years earlier. A Funeral Card noted the occasion.

Elizabeth had made her Will on 25 July in the year that she died. She made bequests to all her children and her nephew David Pendleton was also a beneficiary. She left gold rings, gold rosary, wedding money and gold sovereigns to the Parish Priest of St.John's Bebbington and to the Sister Superior of the Convent of Little Sisters of the Poor at Birkenhead for the offering of Masses for the repose of the soul.
