Brenda and Wendy in the dresses made by Mrs.Cooper for cousin Sylvia's wedding in August 1956.
Unfortunately, Sylvia's father, Bill Swinnerton, would not allow any children to attend. Brenda's mother,
brother of Bill, did admonish him and they were included in the group photo afterwards but had to wear
ankle socks in place of stockings. During the wedding the children were kept together under the care of
cousin Geoff Swinnerton. The teenage cousins were most unhappy at being considered children.
