Malcolm and Brenda returned to Curlew Cottage in Millbrook in April 1982, this time taking their Dutch friends Hands and Ynskje with them, but leaving the children at home. They spent most of their time locally but did make a day trip to Plymouth, Malcolm taking the opportunity to photograph some more of the old railway lines.

A highlight of the holiday was the partaking of port and stilton. The port was an old bottle which had been given to Malcolm as a youngster. He had bought a large piece of stilton from a cheesemonger in New Milton. Both turned out to be magnificant and were enjoyed by all.

On the way home, they stopped at Sherborne Castles for a picnic.
