Connie married George Wiliam Hazel in 1942. They had no children. In the early 1950's they were living at 16 Beresford Avenue in Bebington, Cheshire.

In 1944 Connie made a trip to Canada where she visited her brothers Bill and Walter in Montreal.

After Connie's father died in 1948, her mother came to live with her and George. Connie looked after the clearance of the furniture and the return of the house to the lease owners. Elizabeth was losing her sight but, nonetheless, Connie took her on a trip to Cananda to visit her sons Bill and Walter. Elizabeth passed away in 1952 and probate of her Will was granted to Connie.

George and Connie were living at 6 Min yr Afon, Ruthin, Clwyd when he passed away on 22 March 1978. Connie remained there until her death on 16 April 1981. She left £33150 in her Will.
