Doady had been quite methodical and had made preparations for the eventuality of her death. She had purchased a plot at the cemetery and had arranged a funeral plan. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Ian Newman of Fordingbridge. The funeral service was held in St.Mary's church, which was directly opposite Doady's house in Mulberry Gardens, Fordingbridge, and Doady's son Malcolm delivered the eulogy.

After the service, the cortege processed through Fordingbridge to the burial ground at Stuckton Road where Doady was laid to rest and flowers flowers placed on her grave.

After the funeral, members of the family returned to Mulberry Gardens.

A headstone was erected at Doady's grave at a later date.
