106 St.Georges Road, Tufnell Park, Middx

The house left of centre between the trees is where Sydney was born.   [Back]

12 Park Road, Harlesden, Middx

This was the family home when Sydney was a child and looks unaltered
when this picture was taken in 1995.   [Back]

12 Crown Terrace, Cricklewood, Middx

This picture was taken in January 1983. Although the street scene is somewhat different
from what it would have been in 1911, the houses above the shops would appear to have
remained substantially unaltered.   [Back]

103 Fowler's Walk, Brentham, Middx

The house is the left-hand of the pair which is situated at the end of a short cul-de-sac. The family
moved into the house when it was new and the rest of the estate had not been completed.   [Back]

"Tappee", 80 Gresham Road, Osterley, Middx

The house was named after the tappee which had been brought back from the Pacific Islands by
Sydney's great great grandfather, Samuel Folker. Sydney is at work in the back garden accompanied by the family dog.
Picture taken in 1931.   [Back]

"Dingley Dell", Marlow Bottom, Bucks

Sydney built this house on a three acre plot adjacent to woodland. The name comes from The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickins
of whom Sydney was an ardent admirer. The car belonged to his son-in-law Archie Smith.  [Back]
