The medals of both Edgar and his brother Arthur went out of the possession of the family but their descendant Malcolm Smith was alerted
to the fact that both sets were being put up for sale together. Malcolm was able then to purchase them and return them into the family's care.
Much of the information regarding the two men had been copied from the biographies written by Malcolm on this family history website.

 
These are The 1914-15 Star, The British War Medal and The Victory Medal,
often known together as "A Trio", "Pip, Squeak & Wilfred" or "The Holy Trinity"

In 2019 Malcolm was also alerted to the plaque being placed in auction and was able to make a successful bid.
The plaque is bronze and is 120mm in diameter. The scroll that should accompany it appears to be lost.
