Retirement of

Alfred  Henry  FOLKER

[Ref. P.1]

Biography

Alfred retired from his position as London Representative for The Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Company Limited at the end of 1927, having served for 57 years in the pottery and glass trade. On 1 December 1927, The Pottery Gazette and Glass Trades Review magazine carried a detailed summary of his
working career.

The article made mention of a testimonial which was to be presented to Alfred by his former colleagues at the forthcoming annual dinner of the Pottery and Glass Trades Benevolent Institution. This was duly done, following which Alfred wrote a letter of thanks to Mr E R Edis, former Chairman of the Board and later Chairman of the Benevolence Committee.
