Violet Zenobia Clark was born at 23 Church Road in Guildford on 6 September 1888 and was baptised in Holy Trinity church on 30 November. She was the only daughter of the three children of Thomas and Eliza Clark. She was not with her parents when the census of 1891 was taken and her name has not been found elsewhere. Her mother died in childbirth in 1894. The 1901 census records Violet at Kinbrae, Elm Grove, Cockington, Torquay, Devon in the household of her aunt Ellen Cox, sister of her father.
Violet was resident in Australia by 1927 as the electoral register for that year gives her address as Wood Wood, Wimmera, Swan Hill, Victoria, Australia.
On 14 June 1931 Violet arrived in Liverpool having sailed from New York aboard RMS Carinthia. Violet was described as a housewife and her destination address was given as 17 Wellington Square, St.Pauls Street, Worcester.
In 1937, it is known from the address book of her uncle George Newton Folker that Violet was living in South Africa. Her contact address was 14 Natal Bank Building, Market Steet,Johannesburg. A passenger list from 1947 confirms that she was living in Transvaal, South Africa.
Beyond that, nothing more is known of Violet.
