Biography | Army |
After George died, Marie later married again, at which time she gave a small tin box (6"x 4"x 2" high) containing some of his memorabilia from World War 1 to her mother. This box passed to Doady Smith who donated it to the Shering museum in Fordingbridge during the 1980's. Doady's son. Malcolm, made an arrangement with John Shering to be allowed special access to the museum in order to study the contents of the tin for information for the family history. When the tin was found, Mr Shering kindly offered to return it to Malcolm who gratefully accepted. The tin is now in the family chest. [ More ] | ||
