William Frederick Barratt was born at 10 Albert Place in Hoxton New Town, Middesex, on 26 January 1858, the sixth of the thirteen children born to George and Sarah Barratt.
The census of 1861 shows the family now living at 9 & 10 Shepherdess Walk in Hoxton, Middlesex where his parents had started their confectionery business.
Thereafter no information has been found regarding William. The inference is that he did not survive. This is supported by mention in the history of Barratt's sweet fctory of the four sons of George Osborne Barratt, being George, Edward, Frank and Albert.
